Shah Rukh Khan eyes comedy after ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’
After achieving his dream of action stardom with 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan reveals plans to explore comedy in his next film ventures.
The bookings were actually supposed to start on Friday, January 20 but some standalone theatres went ahead with it prematurely.
Come January 25. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is all set to hit the big screen. The initial trend is more impressive if one goes by the booking of tickets in advance. The advance bookings of tickets for Pathaan have started in national multiplex chains and the initial numbers are quite extraordinary.
According to the critics, Pathaan is set to take a solid start. But they are not sure of the records of KGF Chapter 2 at national multiplexes in the country.
As many as 50,000 tickets have already been sold so far, according to Box Office India. The bookings were actually supposed to start on Friday, January 20 but some standalone theatres went ahead with it prematurely. Following this, the national multiplexes followed the suit.

Going by these trends, Pathaan may sell around 4 lakh tickets for the first day. If this happens, it will beat Brahmastra, which sold 3 lakh. It will, nevertheless, decline short of KGF as it sold 5 lakh tickets for its first day. This, however, is not surprising as the Yash-led movie was released on a holiday. For Pathaan, the holiday falls on the second day, January 26.
Pathaan is a spy-thriller that features Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. It has been directed by Siddharth Anand, who is best known to many for making the actors Bang Bang and War.
Pathaan features Deepika Padukone as the leading lady and is one of the most important films of her career. The cast includes John Abraham and Salman Khan. While John plays the antagonist, Bhai reprises his role from the Tiger film series.
